Grief, defined by Merriam Webster, is described as

  • sorrow-deep sadness or mental pain
  • woe-sorrow or distress

Some people experience life-long grief, especially when loss of a trusted adult to parent is not available.

Grief is a result of unhealthy attachments. A human can become attached to a habit, an object or pleasure, a person, a valued object, a home, and many other things.

It is the practice of understanding oneself that teaches one how to let go of unhealthy attachments.

ATTACHMENTS are things which causes suffering. They leads to misunderstandings about the truth of the value of things, content and process of things.

The only method for letting go of attachments is to engage in a process of radical Self-Enquiry.

It is yoga practice that teaches one how to let go of attachments.

In Yoga, ATTACHMENTS are considered a “klesha,” that which causes suffering. It leads to misunderstandings about the truth of the value of things.

The only method for letting go of attachments in Yoga is to engage in a process of radical Self-Enquiry. In Yoga it is called “Pratyahara”
